It’s an interview with the Executive Director of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Virginia, it’s Nancy Israel. This episode is about: The Value of Working Together to be Even More Effective.
Nancy and I were introduced to each other several years ago. For over 16 years, Nancy has lead the American Council of Engineering Companies of Virginia. Without much effort, we have stayed connected with each other which tells me that we are meant to stay connected. Have you ever had that happen to you? I find it interesting how some people just remain connected after I meet them, while others seem to fall away. Well, I simply enjoy knowing Nancy and I think that you will too as you learn more about her, her leadership, and the association that she leads.
In this interview, we talk about:
- What Nancy uses to create a series of connections to put together a giant puzzle.
- What she describes as the biggest struggle for engineering companies which is not that different from other organizations.
- What Nancy has seen as the biggest change during her career in the engineering industry.
- She describes what she feels is toughest about leadership

Thank you for listening to The Authentic Leader Show Podcast.
I look forward to seeing you next time. Until then, remember, you don’t need to be a leader of leaders. Just be the leader others want to follow. Be, an Authentic Leader.
