It’s an interview with Public Speaker, Author, and President of DK Hawk, it’s Keith Hawk. This episode is about: Authentic Selling.
More than 25+ years ago, Keith and I both worked at LexisNexis. Keith was Vice President at a 3500 employee, corporate headquarters. I worked in Keith’s organization as the Director of Training & Development in a department of almost 400 people.
I remember Keith for being a leader of leaders. We all just enjoyed being associated with Keith. I was so glad when I reached out to invite Keith to be on the podcast and he almost immediately replied with an enthusiastic, “Yes”. His response is exactly why I wanted to have Keith on the show.
In this interview, we talk about:
- Why Keith asked for 400 photos to put on his office wall.
- Keith defines what he calls Consultative Sales and how to use consultative sales to help your customers and clients to go from where they are to where they need to be.
- In our conversation, you will hear Keith catch me in the sales mindset trap that many salespeople get caught in. I was a little red-faced and deservedly so.
- He also shares the one question he asks top executives that gives Keith the most insight before he chooses to work with the client. This alone is worth listening to this podcast episode.
- Lastly, Keith shares why brushing your teeth before leaving work for home is a purposeful daily action for him. It has less to do with having clean teeth.

Thank you for listening to The Authentic Leader Show Podcast.
I look forward to hearing from you. Until then, remember, you don’t need to be a leader of leaders. Just be the leader others want to follow. Be, an Authentic Leader.
