In this episode, you’ll learn from Agent, and Producer and Performer, Jack Shannon. This is a lost recording of the Authentic Interview Events that I did before I started The Authentic Leader Show podcast. If you go back to the first podcast episodes, you will find the recordings of the Authentic Interviews I did with a live audience.

I had thought that I lost this recording. When I originally published the previous Authentic Interviews, I was disappointed when I could not find this one. I was so glad when I recently stumbled across this file and decided that I should publish it.

Jack’s job is as an agent and producer for musicians and performers at EastCoast Entertainment. He is living the dream, helping musicians and performers live their dream.

If that isn’t enough, as Jack will share in this interview, he formed a temporary band on-the-side and 10 years later, America’s #1 Yacht Rock Band, Three Sheets To The Wind is still entertaining crowds of loyal fans.

I’ve always felt that the business side to performing as a profession is a side that that people don’t see or even think about. That’s why I wanted to interview someone like Jack. Jack shares how as a producer for professional performers is much like helping small businesses.

In this interview, we talk about:

  • A lot of fun stuff like the crazy early band names that were tossed around before settling on his band’s name to his stories working with Taylor Swift, The Zac Brown Band, and Jon Bon Jovi.
  • The two rules Jack’s band does not compromise that has a been a foundation for their long term success and ability to work together as friends.
  • How to remind a client of their goals when the client gets caught up in what they want for their event.
  • Jack gives some practical advice for aspiring musicians which also translates to anyone following their professional passion.
  • Jack also explains how leadership for him is communism. You should hear him explain that!

Thank you for listening to The Authentic Leader Show Podcast.

I look forward to seeing you next time. Until then, remember, you don’t need to be a leader of leaders. Just be the leader others want to follow. Be, an Authentic Leader.
