Today’s podcast is about 5 things you do and how to be intentional with them.

Do you aspire for more? Do you see yourself in a different place a year from now, 5 years from now, or maybe 10 years or more from now?

I’m not talking about goals, but what I am talking about is a necessary part of achieving your goals.

Tell me if one of these situations describes you.

  • Without thinking much about it, you wake up so that you can get ready and arrive to work on time.
  • Without thinking much about it, throughout the day attending meetings, taking phone calls, get things done, providing updates and reports, preparing for a presentation, and everything else you do.
  • Without thinking much about it, you drive home and do whatever you do in the evenings like eat dinner, take kids to activities, maybe watch a little TV.

I’m not talking about time management or managing your priorities either.

Can you relate to anything I just described?  If you are going through your day “without thinking much about it“, then you probably feel like you don’t have much room for anything else.

Mistakes that many people make are that they become uncomfortable with the change they are experiencing. Change requires discomfort and staying comfortable is what keeps you feeling like you can’t fit anything more into your day. All change comes from outside of your comfort zone.

The consequence of staying comfortable “without thinking much about it” is that you stay where you are.

We all have the same 5 routines whether you know it or not.
